Today was the last day of fall break. We went swimming just to get out. I shouldn't have asked Tea to bring me the camera. Not so close to the water. She didn't know any better. Plop. I was able to salvage the memory card. Not sure about the camera. She's in recovery right now. AKA lying on a towel in the kitchen draining. I haven't even tried to power her up as I am terrified she'll short out. Ughhh, major bummer but completely my fault.

Give it at least 3 days for complete dryness before trying to power it up again, maybe even longer. I've heard of plenty of electronics going swimmming and making it out alive, as long as its completely dry.
OOOOOOOOH that poor thing, I bet she felt just awful! I've done something similiar, tho mine wasn't water just concrete. *whince* I agree with the anon comment about giving it at least 3 or 4 days to completely dry out. Maybe rotate it every other day in case water gets 'stuck' somewhere inside. GOOD LUCK and let us know how it all turns out...but no pictures, please. ;)
