Goodbye 2014!

Its been a great year, but I am looking forward to 2015. We have had a nice quiet family night at home, with the exception of Chiggie who had plans with friends.  I have some goals for this year that I will share soon!

More Organizing

Again, I should have taken before pictures, but I forgot. I cleaned and organized both our dresser and the desk area in the master bedroom. This area is a bit if a nightmare because it is really very easy to stack papers here and worry about the later. For that reason, I filed papers in a simple way so it will/should be fairly maintainable. As far as the dresser goes, that was more about just cleaning off the junk. I am feeling pretty good, and it's not even 2015 yet!

The School Room

We are plugging right along with our projects. I really should have taken a picture first, but I forgot. We set up our old desktop for the kids to use as a word processor, school games, and also typing practice. I have learned over the years that school goes much smoother if everyone had a task to complete, and this adds a new station to occupy those who are waiting for me to help them.

A Fresh Start

Christmas is officially over. We always take everything down before the first so we can have a fresh start to the new year. This was a little difficult this year because of the large amounts of snow and extreme temperatures we have been having, but we got it done.
At first, everything looked really different and most bare, but I think we are adjusting to it now and it actually feels less cluttered!
The kids are really enjoying playing with their new toys and have very much enjoyed their break.  One of my goals for 2015 is to get even more organized than we already are so we have spent the last couple of days working on that. I will update with pictures as projects get completed.

Just a Few More Days!

It's been vey busy around here these last few days.  We've been swimming, baking, wrapping, Christmas movie watching, all along with the normal everyday things like laundry and cleaning.
The kids are counting down the days now!

Santa Fun!

We had a wonderful time today at Santa's Workshop.  We came at just the right time, and the lines were minimal too.  The kids enjoyed seeing Santa, and we enjoyed seeing them so excited.  Chiggie is a great sport and posed for some great pictures.

I loved seeing them all interact with Santa.  Each of them asked to be surprised this year so that should be interesting.  I am sure they will be excited to see what Santa came up with though.
After visiting with Santa, everyone had a chance to make an ornament.  They were very kid friendly and Buster liked being able to work on his own.

Afterwards we went and had a special lunch to celebrate my graduation!  I am finally finished with my Bachelor's Degree and have a break until the fall when I will begin working on my Master's.  It really feels nice to focus on other things for awhile.  I am so thankful for these times that I have to spend with my family.  The kids really are getting bigger everyday!

Cozy

This has been such a cozy Christmas season, aside from an obvious lack of snow. To make things even more festive we enjoy the scents coming from this little guy!

Christmas Vacation!

Wednesday was the girls' last day of LEAP until after the holidays. They had a fun party, and the night before they helped me fill 70 treat bags. We have some fun plans over the break and we are all looking forward to turning off the alarm clocks!
