Spring, Winter, and Everything Inbetween

It happens every single year, but it never seems right.  We go from weather in the 80's to a snow day literally overnight.  This morning we woke up to flurries with a dusting already covering the ground.  Buster couldn't believe it.  He couldn't even eat his breakfast.  He just kept walking to the back window and commenting on the flakes.  The girls were irritated.  They have gotten used to flip-flops and afternoons of bike riding and tree climbing.  A couple of days inside never hurt, but it's hard when spring fever has already hit.

Today was our first day back to school after the break.  It should have been yesterday, but we all already know that story.  It was a good school day.  The girls always seem to be more focused and sharp after a break.  More frequent short breaks seem to work better than long sessions with long breaks.  That might affect our schedule overall next year, but I'm still working on that.  The little girls had karate this afternoon then all 4 had rehearsal from 6-8.  It's so nice not to have to wake up early in the morning.  We're the only ones not rushing home afterwards.  The girls usually come home, have a snack, get ready for bed, and read for 30 minutes.  They sleep better without the stress of an early wake time too.  Only 5 more days until Easter.  I hope we have nice spring weather then!
