Catching Up (More 4th of July)

Summer Days at the Beach

I still have to pinch myself every once in awhile to make sure that I am not dreaming, and we really do live across the street from this beautiful lake.  I cannot think of a better way to spend a warm summer afternoon.  The kids love to be here of course, and now that they are all bigger it is even more fun.  They alternate between swimming and building in the sand, stopping only to eat and let me neurotically re-apply sunscreen!

Catching Up (Last Day of School)

Here we are getting ready to wrap up our summer, and I am just now posting about the last day of LEAP!  Oh well, at least I'm doing it.  The kids had such a fun year at LEAP.  They loved so many things about it.  The time with their friends, teachers, music lessons, and field trips.  On the last day they met at a park instead of the church.  All morning they played field day games, and then I met them at lunch time and brought Subway, and they played on the equipment for awhile.

After they ate and played it was time for awards.  They all received multiple awards and prized, and we are so very proud of each of them!

Catching Up (Easter)

I recently realized that I never got around to uploading and posting pictures from our Easter.  I don't want to miss the opportunity so here we have a little reminiscing.
The Easter Bunny was kind enough to bring new swimming suits for all of the kids this year.  Of course he also brought plenty of candy and little trinkets too!

After going through their baskets, and getting ready for church, the kids humored me and posed for some pictures.  The sun was awful and the kids were tired, but I'm glad I have the pictures!

Neither the King nor I cared much for this picture.  The angle is off and we both feel it made us look a little "fluffy." His hair is not nearly that gray either, just for the record.
After church, some of the kids changed, and some didn't.  We hid plastic eggs in the yard while lunch cooked and they enjoyed multiple egg hunts.  I love that they are all still young enough to have fun this way.

We ended the day going through our resurrection egg set, which the kids love, and begged to do all day.  Even Buster knew all the answers to what was in each egg and why.  It was a very blessed day!
