Spring at the Lake

Spring Concert

Tonight was the Spring Concert for LEAP. Midge and Boo both sang. Midge also played chimes and had some art on display. Chiggie acted in and directed a few short movies that were played as well.  It was a fun night and we are getting very excited for summer vacation!

Lazy Mornings

Our mornings are busy around here most days of the week. Wednesdays are even more crazy than normal with the kids going to school, except for Buster. Wednesdays are the one morning a week that he can be lazy, cuddle, and watch morning cartoons. Oh to be 5 again!

Pre-K Fun

Buster's preschool days are winding down. He has learned so miluch this year and we have had a lot of fun. Here he was practicing writing his name in shaving cream. Writing is his least favorite subject. His favorite is math, and he is the first one of the kids to learn to count to 100 by 1's, 10's, and 5's so early. It helps that he likes to associate all the numbers with his favorite athletes.

Gobble Gobble!

Last Wednesday the kids were at school and Boston was playing out back when suddenly he started barking and growling. I went outside right away to see what was up and was shocked to find a wild turkey just strutting around the yard. It ended up hanging out for the rest of the day alternating between the yard and the roof!

Field Trip Fun!

Friday we went on a LEAP field trip to the Fort Collins Museum. We really didn't know what to expect, but it was amazing. The kids really enjoyed all the hands on activities.

We will most definitely come back and enjoy this museum again!

Out to Eat

Buster is going through that adorable phase where he loves to play restaurant. He takes our orders and then brings out whatever he can put together. This was my lunch today

He also makes an adorable waiter!

Very Productive

We have really been productive the last several weekends, but this weekend we have made some major accomplishments! On Friday Chiggie took the accuplacer. Her scores were great and we are very excited for what the next 4 years will bring. This morning we all attended the LEAP pancake breakfast, a fundraiser for a new copy machine, where Chiggie worked as a hostess. She is on the student advisory board this year and Tea hopes to be next.  

On top of all that, the King and I worked hard painting the family room and downstairs hallway. It looks amazing, I honestly cannot believe the difference! Tomorrow I will finish putting everything where it goes and take some pictures. Next up is the laundry room and downstairs bathroom.

So Sweet

A lot of exciting things are happening for our sweet Tea! She will soon be graduating from children's church and will be joining the other Tweens/ teens in the youth group. She is so very sweet and we are very proud of the young lady she is becoming!

Yard Gymnastics

Boo and Midge are going through a gymnastics phase. Several times a week we are summoned to watch a show, usually complete with a bulletin and snacks. Here they are warming up on the front lawn!

Easter Crafts

We had a wonderful Easter, and I will post pictures of the festivities soon, but until then here is a picture of some Easter loom projects the little girls completed!

Good Friday

We spent the morning dyeing eggs in our PJ's, followed by decorating our popcorn eggs. Tonight we are going out to dinner and then to our Good Friday service at church. Such a somber day, offset only by the promise and joy Sunday holds!
