Camp Out

One of the selling points of the new couch we got is that it's a sleeper sofa. This is great because the girls love to sleep in the family room and watch movies once in a while on special occasions. We decided to let them break 'er in tonight. Who knows how it will go, but at least they should be more comfortable. Chiggie has the next two days off for winter break so that should be nice. I plan to finish cleaning the little girls room. It got pretty messy when I tossed everything from the new baby's room in there :) It will be so nice just to have a break from the normal busy-ness~!

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope your day is filled with much love!

Friday

Last night we went out to eat for my Step-Dad's birthday party. We went to a local pizza place that has lots of games for the kids so a great time was had by all. Here Tea is, waiting for her pizza.

The King and Chiggie trying to decide what to order. Is anyone else amazed at how old this child is getting?????

Earlier Midge tried out our new recliner. She approves.

To Tea, relaxing is a sport.

The King said this was almost 32 years overdue. He's a little dramatic if you ask me :)

What a Day

The best laid plans right? I was at church until after 2 yesterday so today really was supposed to be my "stay home and get stuff done" day. The weather even cooperated with a snowstorm. Who wants to drag little kids out in that? Not me. Unfortunately life had other plans for us. To start the day off, there was a 2 hr delay. Normally I like the leisurely morning, but this one was different. Tea had a rough night. She complained of a headache and ear pain. She rarely complains so I knew something was up. By morning her eyes were completely sealed shut. We all know what this means. I was shocked actually. Where in the heck did she get pink eye???

I had to call the doc and they were able to fit us in just after Chiggie had to be at school. This was very convenient. With the weather, I wanted to be out as little as possible anyway. After the appointment we had to go drop of prescriptions. She has an ear infection, a wheeze, and pink eye. Poor girl. Of course the pharmacy was backed up and we were told to come back in an hour. Thank goodness for drive thru's. We went home and I made them a quick lunch and we went back and picked up the meds. She hates the eye drops and that's an understatement. This is the kid who doesn't even flinch at shots. I hate that the other girls have to watch her get them and scream because we all know their next.

Now, there in bed and I'm trying to relax by the fire. I did get all the baby's clothes put into his dresser and the quilt hung today. Actually the King hung the quilt and I did the clothes. I love to sit in his room now. It looks so good. This weekend we are hanging his name on the wall, yes he does indeed have a name. If one of my kids has spilled the beans please don't post it on here, I love surpising people at the birth!

Thursday

Wow, this week has gone by so incredibly fast. Tuesday was the district science fair and Chiggie took 2nd place. Yesterday I helped out with the girls youth group. Then today I went to a luncheon at my little sisters school and then one of my little sisters had a band/choir concert tonight. I have really barely sat down at all. On top of the extras we've also tried really hard to maintain things around the house. Emphasis on the word tried, sigh.

Monday we filed our taxes and getting our return has helped as well. We've been able to catch up and also get to go look at some new couches this weekend. Trust me they're needed. If I fall through the ones we have one more time....

Midge's b-day party is scheduled and she wants a hearts/valentine theme. I'm so excited for her to turn 4. I love the age and she's such a treat anyway. I also have a baby shower coming up through the church that I am really excited about. It seems February is going by just as fast as January and December and November.....

February

Yay for February! I hate to admit it but January is absolutely my least favorite month of the year. For a multitude of reasons actually. Now we can just put that month behind us and move forward. Plus I can now officially say I am due next month. That's a good feeling. This month is already filling up fast. We have the district science fair, a concert, school luncheon, Valentine's Day, several Dr's appointments, and of course Midge and several other family members have birthdays. Busy stuff, but fun stuff too.

Midge wants to have her party at the gymnastics studio, but I'm having trouble getting a hold of them. I really don't want to have to go down there. No one is ever really available to talk because they're leading classes. I'll get it figured out I'm sure. For now I'm off to battle through the Monday madness that is my house!
