A Good Weekend
Last week was rough. Really rough. Just when I thought I could not possibly handle another thing, the weekend came! Friday, the King and I went to see the movie American Sniper and then had dinner at Big City Burrito. Both were great and it was nice to get out! Saturday I woke up much more focused and tackled the housework and grocery shopping. Of course everyone helped out which made things go quickly. Sunday we went to church, picked up a few things at the grocery store, and then I sewed some curtains for the kitchen. It was my first sewing project and I was pretty excited about it. It feels good tonight to know we got so much done, but also enjoyed our time!

Grocery Shopping
I am not sure when things changed so much. It was gradual at first and then all at once things just feel different. Gone are the crazy grocery shopping trips with babies and toddlers. Now it's usually just me. Occasionally, I have a volunteer to come along. Today that was Buster. He likes climbing in the back of the truck and putting the bags in the back. I just like having a buddy!

New Subjects
This semester, Boo has added typing to her schedule. This is something the other girls have been doing and it has really helped with both speed and accuracy. It helps that this program, Typer Island, is fun for them. It's also nice for me that it can be done independently!

I was going through some things in my closet tonight and found this picture of Chiggie, Camie, and Marlee at Chiggie's 3rd birthday party. It's hard to see then this tiny and not miss it. I am proud of the young ladies they have become!

Preparations
Today was a nice day. We got up earlier than usual (I didn't sleep great last night) and getting ready for church was relaxed and not rushed. Afterwards we had an easy lunch of sandwiches and fruit, and Chiggie and the King went to the gym. They also dropped by the library to turn in the kids' winter reading logs. We have our fingers crossed as the prize is tickets to the Eagles game. We all went last year and loved it, so we know we would enjoy going again.
While they were out, the younger kids and I cleaned up. Then they played some x box while I went ahead and washed the sheets and made beds. I normally do that on Mondays, but with tomorrow being our first day back to school, I thought I would save myself the added stress.
Once Chiggie got home, her, Tea, and I made a quick store run. She bought a shirt with some leftover Christmas money, and I bought some new notebooks for school. We also went to the dollar store where Tea spent some ToothFairy money and I bought some window stickers for Valentine's Day.
Tonight the kids helped me get their work boxes ready and I finished up the laundry. I am now relaxing and all the kids are sleeping. I am already looking forward to Friday!

Almost Over!
Today was our last day of sleeping in for awhile! I am going to miss serving pancakes at 10:30.
Midge and Tea stayed over at a friends house last night while the rest of us enjoyed dinner out and some thrift store shopping just for fun. Chiggie took this picture of the beautiful winter night sky.
Earlier in the day Chiggie and I went to the gym and she took this picture of the frozen lake and these men ice fishing. I cannot deny that we live in a beautiful city!
