Better and Preparations
I was shocked last night that Buster was still sick! We finally got him to eat a Popsicle and I wa thrilled to wake up this morning and realize he had slept through the night. I went to see how he was feeling only to find out he had indeed gotten sick in the night! At this point I was very discouraged. Our holiday plans include travel and I really wasn't sure that was going to happen anymore. Much to my surprise, he woke up in a much better mood! As the day has progressed he has only gotten better. He is drinking and even had some lunch, keeping all of it down! So we kicked it into high gear and got the house cleaned up (5 days of sickness really takes a toll). I have washed millions of loads of laundry, and it looks like we just might make it! So thankful for returned health!

Tea's Turn
This morning was church followed by grocery shopping and a quick trip to the library. It was Tea's turn to come along for the shopping and errands and we were shocked at all the snow that had been plowed downtown! We were also impressed with how pretty the lake looks this time of year. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday.

Enough Already!
My kids can't seem to stop growing up! No matter how much I seem to love them little, my love seems to grow right with them. We had to go coat and show shopping last weekend and I was shocked that the two oldest girls both wear bigger shoes than I do!

Big Decisions!
When facing a big decision, like whether to be a football player or a ninja turtle, Buster just cannot decide. So for now he is both.....every day!

Keeping Active
The leaves have fallen, the days are shorter, and it is cold! We aren't letting that stop us from staying active though. Last year the long and bitter cold winter took us by surprise but now that we know what to expect we are much better prepared. Going to the gym regularly is a habit that we have held strong for nearly 9 months. It feels natural now and it's also a lot of fun. Even when we don't necessarily feel like going we never regret it after. Plus it is a great opportunity to spend time together!

TGIF
Happy Friday, and I am exhausted! Last night was a crazy one won with the King getting called in and working until nearly midnight only to have to get up and head back in at 4 am. We made I through the day in one piece and amazingly got a lot accomplished. Chiggie has a couple of friends spending the night and the other kids are having their own sleepover in the living room. Tomorrow we are going coat shopping as next weeks forecast promises we will need them!

One at a Time
I don't purposely schedule one on one time with the kids, it just happens naturally. I am running back and forth to the store at least a couple of times a week, so that's a perfect opportunity to spend a little extra time with whoever wants to tag along. Tonight it was Midge. She is a great big helper and lives to push the cart. She also loves the self check out and helps me scan everything. It's amazing the little things they enjoy so much!

Bummed Out
Buster is learning the sad lesson of disappointment. He was just sure the Broncos would pull through yesterday and beat the Patriots. No such luck buddy. He still slept in his Jersey with his football. A true fan!

Happy November!
It really looks like November. Most of the trees are bare, and those that are not are beautiful shades of orange and red. Like all weekends this one flew by. Between our family fun on Friday, grocery shopping, church, and me working on finals, it seemed I blinked and it was Sunday night! The weather this week looks fantastic and we may even get rain tomorrow. So far this week looks slow and I would really like to get caught up on housework so I plan to take advantage of the time at home.
